Where Moneypex is cheaper

Moneypex's starting price of Rs 3,500 is lower than Café QR's Rs 4,999 Standard plan, and its Standard plan lists stock, recipes and multi-location control that sit in Café QR's Rs 7,000 Pro plan. If you only need a single till and nothing else, check what their base price includes before you compare.

It also advertises 24/7 support. Ask how to reach it and how quickly someone answers.

Where the price changes once you add things up

Most of what a restaurant uses on a normal night is an add-on at Moneypex: the waiter app, the kitchen screen, the QR menu, web ordering and FBR integration. Adding those five to the base price comes to about Rs 7,200 a month, against Rs 6,000 for Café QR Plus, which includes all of them. Count the add-ons you will really use, then compare.

Café QR's Plus plan is one monthly price per restaurant, with no setup fee and no commission on orders.

Payments, tax and refunds

Café QR names the rails it supports. Guests pay by Raast from any bank or wallet app, or by JazzCash from the table with your own merchant account, and the money goes into your account. Moneypex's page doesn't say which digital payments it takes, so ask.

For tax, Café QR reports each paid bill to PRA or FBR depending on the branch, prints the invoice number and QR code, and sends a credit note when you refund. Whichever system you choose, ask it three things: which authority does it report to, what happens to a refund, and does it work through the authority's sandbox before you go live.

Is Café QR cheaper than Moneypex?+

Not at the entry price: Moneypex starts at Rs 3,500 a month and Café QR at Rs 4,999. For a restaurant using a waiter app, kitchen screens, QR ordering, a delivery page and FBR, Moneypex's listed add-ons come to about Rs 7,200 a month against Rs 6,000 for Café QR Plus.

Does Café QR support FBR and PRA like Moneypex says it does?+

Yes. Each branch reports to PRA (Punjab) or FBR (Islamabad), prints the invoice number and QR code on the bill and sends a credit note for refunds. You register the branch with the authority, test in its sandbox and switch to live once it approves you. Café QR isn't connected to the Sindh Revenue Board yet.
