POS system for cafés and restaurants in Australia
Australian guests expect the price on the board to be the price they pay, so Café QR's POS treats GST-inclusive pricing as the default and leaves the tip prompt off. The till, kitchen display, open tabs and floor plan, bookings and cash-up run in one system on the tablets you already have, and QR table ordering is built in so seated guests skip the eight-forty queue.

Where we are
We are a Liverpool company, so setup is a screen-share rather than a site visit: we build your menu and till from a photo of your menu, lay out your floor plan and stay on the call while you put a test sale through. Your venue's own clock drives opening hours and daily takings, so nothing runs on UK time.
01
GST-inclusive, the way your board already reads
Australian menu prices include GST, and a guest expects the number on the board to be the number they pay. Systems designed around tax-exclusive markets add it at the end and make your café look like it is surcharging.
Café QR treats inclusive pricing as the default. Enter the price you charge, set your rate, and the till and receipt show the GST already contained in the total without changing what the guest hands over.

The morning rush is the whole business
Australian café trade concentrates hard into the hours either side of the commute, and a queue at eight forty is not a queue of patient people. Someone on a fixed break will leave rather than be late.
The till rings a coffee up in a few taps and sends it to the kitchen display, where orders queue in arrival order with timers. Seated guests can order from the table instead, so the line at the counter is only takeaway. Built-in card readers are UK only for now, so outside the UK you keep the card terminal you have: take the payment on it and tap Card on the till to record the sale.
- A fast counter till on any tablet
- Kitchen display by station: coffee machine and kitchen apart
- Cash-up at close, counted against the float

No tipping culture to work around
Tipping is not customary in most Australian cafés, and a checkout that nags for one reads as imported and slightly rude. Online checkout only asks for a tip if you switch it on.
What you can switch on instead is an optional service charge, which behaves the way a venue that does add one expects: a set percentage, shown as its own line, never a guilt-inducing question.

Questions
Cafés and restaurants in Australia ask
Are prices on the till shown including GST?
Yes, inclusive pricing is the default. Enter the price you charge and your rate, and the receipt shows the GST contained in the total without changing what the guest pays.
Can I keep my existing EFTPOS terminal?
Yes. Built-in card readers are UK only for now, so outside the UK you keep the card terminal you have: take the payment on it and tap Card on the till to record the sale.
What does Café QR cost in Australia?
From A$59 per venue, per month, billed in AUD, after one month free with no card needed. That covers QR ordering, the kitchen screen, menu and loyalty tools; the till and the rest of the full POS are added on top, quoted in AUD before you start. There is no surcharge or per-order commission.
Pricing
One price. Every table. No commission.
You pay the same each month whether guests order fifty times or five thousand. We never take a share of your orders, and guest payments go straight into your own account.
What a 5% commission per order would cost you
| Monthly table sales | 5% commission | Café QR |
|---|---|---|
| $6,000 | $300 | $59 |
| $12,000 | $600 | $59 |
| $24,000 | $1,200 | $59 |
