Where we are
Café QR is run from Liverpool, about two hours from Leeds across the Pennines. Setup is usually a screen-share in UK hours, and we can make the trip when a café would rather be walked through it in person.

The weekday lunch is a till problem
Around the city centre offices, a large share of the day's covers arrive inside about ninety minutes. Guests are on a fixed break and will leave a long queue rather than be late back.
The till rings up a sale in a few taps from your own menu, with cash and change due, and sends it straight to the kitchen display. Orders queue in arrival order with timers, so the constraint moves to how fast the kitchen and the machine can work.

Long dwell time is an opportunity, not a cost
Leeds cafés carry a lot of laptop trade: guests who sit for two or three hours over what is often a single drink. The usual complaint is that they occupy a table without spending.
In practice they frequently would spend again, but will not pack up a laptop and leave it unattended to queue. QR ordering from the table removes that obstacle, and the order lands on the same kitchen display and the same takings as everything rung through the till.

The POS plan is £39 per venue, per month: the till, kitchen screen, waiter app, tabs and floor plan, table bookings, online ordering, self-order kiosk and cash-up. Order & Pay, just QR ordering and the kitchen screen, is £9.99. No setup fee, and the first month is free with no card. Pay yearly and get two months free.
We charge no platform fee or per-order commission. Stripe's standard card processing applies to online and table payments and is paid to Stripe, not to us. Your café connects its own Stripe account and remains the merchant.

Is the till fast enough for a weekday lunch rush?
It is built for it: a sale is a few taps from your own menu, cash shows the change due, and each order goes straight to the kitchen display in the order it was placed.
Can guests order a second drink without leaving their table?
Yes. QR table ordering is built in. They scan the table's code and order from their phone, so nobody has to leave a laptop unattended to queue.
Is there a setup fee?
No. The full POS is £39 per venue per month and Order & Pay is £9.99, the first month is free with no card, and paying yearly gets two months free. Stripe's card processing is paid to Stripe, not to us.
