POS system for London cafés and restaurants
Floor space in London is expensive, so many independent cafés fit a counter and a handful of tables into a very small room. Café QR is a cloud POS that takes up no more of it than a tablet: the till, kitchen display, open tabs and floor plan, bookings, online ordering and cash-up in one system, with QR table ordering built in so seated guests do not add to the queue.

Where we are
We are based in Liverpool, a little over two hours from London by train. Most London setups happen over a screen-share in UK hours: we build the menu and till with you, lay out your floor plan and stay on while you put a test sale through.
01
A POS for a small floor and expensive rent
Independent cafés in places like Shoreditch, Borough, Clerkenwell and Peckham are often working with a counter and a handful of tables in a very small footprint, because floor space in London is expensive whichever way you cut it.
The till is a tablet on the counter, the kitchen display another tablet or a printer, and nothing else needs a socket. Seated guests can order from a QR on the table, so the physical queue at the till is only ever the walk-in and takeaway trade.
02
The lunch window is short and it is everyone at once
Around office clusters in the City, Canary Wharf and the West End, a large share of the day's covers land inside a narrow lunch window shared with every other café on the street. London hospitality wages mean adding another till hand for ninety minutes a day rarely pencils out.
Till sales, table orders and collection orders from your own online page all reach one kitchen display in the order they were placed, with timers so nothing sits unnoticed. The constraint becomes how fast food and drinks can be made, not how fast one person can ring things through.
- One kitchen queue for the till, the table and online orders
- Collection and delivery from your own page, no commission
- Sold-out items hidden everywhere in one tap
03
Your customers, not a delivery platform's
London cafés compete with delivery platforms more directly than almost anywhere else in the UK, and those platforms keep the customer relationship for themselves. Café QR is built the other way round: guests can opt in after ordering, and the list of who they are belongs to the café, not to us.
Each café connects its own Stripe account for online and table payments and stays the merchant, so that money lands in your bank rather than passing through a marketplace first.

Questions
Cafés and restaurants in London ask
Does the POS need much counter space?
No. The till runs on a tablet and the kitchen display on another tablet or a network printer. Seated guests can order from the QR on their table, so the counter queue is only walk-in and takeaway trade.
Can a London café take online orders without commission?
Yes. The POS plan includes your own page for collection and delivery, with no per-order commission. Orders land on the same kitchen display as till sales.
What does the POS cost in London?
The same as anywhere in the UK. The POS plan is £39 per venue, per month: the till, kitchen screen, waiter app, tabs and floor plan, table bookings, online ordering, self-order kiosk and cash-up. Order & Pay, just QR ordering and the kitchen screen, is £9.99. The first month is free with no card needed.
Pricing
One price. Every table. No commission.
You pay the same each month whether guests order fifty times or five thousand. We never take a share of your orders, and guest payments go straight into your own account.
