Shared by hours worked, to the penny
Plan who works when, a week at a time. Copy last week's shifts into this week with one button, then change the few that are different. Each shift shows what it will cost from that person's hourly pay, so you can see the week's planned wage bill before it happens.
Staff see their next shifts when they open the time clock.
Staff clock in when they start, take a break and clock out when they finish, from Clock in or out in the till's menu or on any phone signed in to Café QR. Breaks are unpaid and come off the shift. If someone clocks out during a break, the break ends there.
Each person signs in with their own PIN on a shared till, so nobody clocks in for someone else by accident. Managers can correct a shift that was forgotten or left open.
Managers see the hours each person worked over the last 14 days and what they cost at their hourly pay, with the total labour cost as a percentage of sales for the same days. When labour starts to creep above what you expect, you can see it while there is still time to change next week's rota.

Tips taken at the till, on the QR menu and at pay at table are recorded with how they were paid, so the tips report and the cash drawer count can tell cash tips from card tips. The time clock shares the fortnight's tips by hours worked, split to the penny so the shares add up to the total.
Since October 2024, UK employers must pass on all tips to workers, share them fairly and keep a record. The tips report and the hours-based share help with the record; your written tips policy is still up to you.
The rota and time clock are in the POS plan at £39 per venue a month and Multi-site, or the "Till and cash-up" add-on at £15 a month on Order & Pay.
Café QR doesn't run payroll, pay staff or work out holiday pay; export the timesheet to the payroll software you use. The rota isn't sent to staff by text or email, and there is no shift-swap app: staff see their shifts in Café QR.
Yes. Clock in or out is in the till's menu, and each person uses their own PIN. They can also clock in on a phone signed in to Café QR.
Breaks are unpaid and come off the shift's paid time. A break that is still running when someone clocks out ends at that moment.
