Running the kitchen screen during service
One screen in the kitchen shows every order as it comes in.
- 1Tap Open a screen at the top and choose Kitchen. (On a phone, type Kitchen into "Jump to a page or setting".) Leave it open on a tablet, phone or laptop in the kitchen. It updates by itself every few seconds.
- 2Tap Chime off at the top once, so it says Chime on and chimes for every new order. (Browsers only allow sound after a tap.)
- 3With more than one station, pick yours at the top (say Bar). It then shows only its own dishes.
- 4New orders appear under New, with the table, each dish, its options and any note.
- 5Tap Start cooking when you begin, Mark ready when it's ready to go out, and Picked up once it's served or collected.
- 6Cancel removes an order that won't be made. It stops counting in your takings.
- 7Raast orders show "Raast · check Rs … arrived". When the money arrives in your own banking app, tap Received next to it (Raast received). The guest's phone then says the payment is confirmed.
Only tap Received on a Raast order after checking your own banking app. Never accept a screenshot from a guest: they are easy to fake.
