How to Set Up Raast Payments for Your Restaurant
Let guests pay from any Pakistani bank or wallet app straight into your account: set up your Raast ID and confirm payments safely.
Updated 17 October 2026
Raast is the State Bank of Pakistan's instant payment system. Every bank app and every wallet (JazzCash, Easypaisa, NayaPay, SadaPay) can send a Raast payment, and the money lands in seconds, at any hour. For a restaurant it's the simplest way to take digital payments: there's no merchant account to open and Café QR charges no fee on it.
What you need
- A bank or wallet account in the restaurant's name.
- Its Raast ID: the mobile number the account is registered to. If you have a Pakistani bank account or a JazzCash or Easypaisa account, you almost certainly have one already. Check your banking app under Raast if you're not sure.
- Optionally, the account's IBAN, for guests whose app asks for one.
- The owner login for Café QR.
Set it up
- In your Café QR dashboard, open Settings, then Card payments (under Money).
- Under Raast, enter your Raast ID (mobile number) in the 03XXXXXXXXX format, for example 03001234567.
- Enter the IBAN if you want to (it's optional), for example PK36SCBL0000001123456702.
- Enter the Account title: the name on the account, exactly as your bank shows it. Guests compare it with what their own app shows before they pay, so a mismatch makes them hesitate.
- Tick Offer Raast to guests and tap Save Raast settings.
The box at the top turns to Guests can pay you by Raast and shows the ID, IBAN and title guests will see.
What guests see
When a guest orders from the table QR code and picks Pay by Raast, their phone shows your Raast ID, the account title, the exact amount and their order number, each with a copy button. They switch to their own banking or wallet app, send the money by Raast, and come back.
The order goes to your kitchen straight away, so the food isn't held up while the money moves.
Confirm the payment
On the kitchen screen, a Raast order shows Raast · check Rs … arrived, with a Received button.
- Open your own banking or wallet app, or check the SMS your bank sends.
- Find the incoming amount and match it to the order (guests can put the order number in the payment note).
- Tap Received. The guest's phone updates to say the payment is confirmed.
Never accept a screenshot from a guest. A "payment successful" screenshot is easy to fake. Only your own app is proof.
Tips
- Give the job to one person per shift, usually whoever is on the counter. With practice it takes a few seconds per order.
- Set your tax rates. Raast, JazzCash and other digital payments use your card tax rate, and cash uses your cash rate. Set both in Settings. In Punjab, since July 2026, that's 8% for card and digital and 16% for cash.
- Guests can always pay cash at the counter instead. Raast is offered alongside, not in place of it.
Common questions
Does Café QR hold the money? No. Guests pay straight into your own account. Café QR never touches it.
Are there fees? Café QR doesn't charge anything on Raast payments. Check with your bank whether your account has its own charges for incoming payments.
Can I use a personal account? It works, but a business account in the restaurant's name looks right to guests and keeps your books clean.
What if the money doesn't arrive? Don't tap Received. Ask the guest to check their app; if the payment failed, they can pay another way at the counter.
