How a table order works in a pub
A guest scans the code on their table and sees your drinks and food menu in their phone browser. They pick a pint or a half, a single or a double, a mixer, or a burger with extra toppings, then pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or card.
The paid order appears on the staff screen with the table number, the guest's name and every option chosen. Your team pours or prepares it, marks it ready and takes it to the table. Nobody has to leave their seat or their conversation to reach the bar.

Built for bar and kitchen staff
Staff can work from the live order board on a tablet behind the bar. If you would rather work from paper, connect a supported Star CloudPRNT or Epson network printer and a ticket prints as each order arrives. Each printer you connect receives every ticket.
Waiters get their own staff role. When a guest taps “Call staff” or “Request bill”, the request appears in the dashboard with the table number until someone marks it done.

Works alongside your till
If you use Square, you can import your menu from the Square catalogue, push paid Café QR orders into Square, and keep sold-out items in sync. Other tills keep working as they do now, and daily takings can be exported as CSV.
Guests pay through your own Stripe account, with your venue as the merchant. Café QR adds a 0% platform fee. Until you connect Stripe, guests order and pay at the till.

What stays with your team
Café QR takes the order; it does not check a guest's age. Staff apply your Challenge 21 or Challenge 25 policy when they bring alcohol to the table, just as they would at the bar, and you remain responsible for your licensing conditions.
Each order is paid when it is placed, rather than added to a running tab. Scheduled ordering hours cannot yet run past midnight, so late-opening venues use the pause switch in the dashboard to stop orders at last orders.
