Where we are

Setup is a screen-share rather than a site visit: we build your menu from a photo of it, mint your table codes and stay on the call while you put a test order through. Your café's own clock drives opening hours and daily takings, so nothing runs on UK time.

01

GST-inclusive, the way your board already reads

Australian menu prices include GST, and a guest expects the number on the board to be the number they pay. Systems designed around tax-exclusive markets add it at the end and make your café look like it is surcharging.

Café QR treats inclusive pricing as the default. Enter the price you charge, set your rate, and the receipt shows the GST already contained in the total for the guest's records without changing what they hand over.

02

No tipping culture to work around

Tipping is not customary in most Australian cafés, and a checkout that nags for one reads as imported and slightly rude. The tip prompt is off unless you switch it on.

What you can switch on instead is an optional service charge, which behaves the way a venue that does add one expects — a set percentage, shown as its own line, never a guilt-inducing question at the till.

03

The morning rush is the whole business

Australian café trade concentrates hard into the hours either side of the commute, and a queue at eight forty is not a queue of patient people. Someone on a fixed break will leave rather than be late.

Orders placed from the table arrive already paid and already queued, so the limit becomes how fast the machine and the kitchen move rather than how fast one person can take payments. That is the constraint you can actually staff for.

  • —Guests order from their seat instead of joining the line
  • —Apple Pay, Google Pay and card
  • —One screen behind the machine shows every open order
