Café QR is built and run from Liverpool, so setup calls happen in UK hours and we can visit in person when a café would rather be walked through it than emailed a guide.

Weekend brunch is a different business
In the Northern Quarter, Ancoats and Chorlton, weekend brunch runs at a completely different intensity from a Tuesday morning. Tables sit for an hour, guests order in rounds rather than once, and the second and third round are where the counter queue builds.
Table ordering is most useful for exactly those later rounds. A guest who wants one more coffee at the end of a long brunch will often order it from their phone and skip the queue entirely — an order most cafés simply never take.

Seasonal and student staffing
Manchester's café staffing turns over quickly, and a system that needs a day of training is a system that gets bypassed on a busy Saturday when the new starter is on.
